Gray tree frogs are small tree-dwelling frogs commonly found in North America and Canada. They are the smallest arboreal frog in this list and probably the quickest too. The minimum size terrarium for 1 or 2 frogs is only around 30 x 30 x 45 cm, this coupled with the recent advances in bio-active enclosures means that you could have a fully living tropical enclosure in a glass terrarium anywhere in the house. Dart frogs are a small terrestrial frog also commonly known as a poison arrow frog. There are many different species in a range of fantastic colours from bright gold to deep blue, green or even red.

Dart frogs thrive in a live enclosure with roots, plants and a small body of water making them a great choice when setting up a paludarium or bioactive terrarium. We have 2 features including dart frogs in the Northampton store, one in a Biopod Grand and another in the Biopod Terra , and both are gorgeous. Red eye tree frogs are the iconic tree frog.

With bright green, yellow and blue bodies and vibrant red eyes these are spectacular pets. This species grows fairly large so we would have a 45x45x60 cm terrarium for frogs. They need humidity, warmth and UVB and they can be quite sensitive but the reward is worth the work. As with the other colourful frogs in this list, they look magnificent when paired with a live enclosure and jungle plants. They are one of the most asked for pet frogs in the store and as long as you have the set up perfect from day one there is no reason they would not make a great pet frog for beginners.

The whites tree frog is the largest arboreal frog in this list. They are normally light blue or green with white underbellies and can get to 5 inches in length. They are quite a lazy frog so can be caught and handled with relative ease.

Even when he starts doing different activities, it's like he is staring into my soul. That uncanny valley feeling is amped up a bit in this book. But hey, it turns out the uncanny frog is a secret agent. That's cool And he dances like he's a fan of the Bee Gees! The end of this book is what really gets me It felt slightly depressing, yet kids wouldn't see that.

Only the parents. It was one of the shorter books, but it was one of the weirder books. I think it's cool but Let's go with odd. It honestly felt like the author was picking up story ideas from a hat and mashed them all together. Two out of five stars. I have read two other books by Scott Gordon and was very captivated by the illustrations that are done by Julien Tromeur.

I have to say this is the best part of these books, definitely brings these books to a whole other level. The illustrations are done with computer graphics and the frog is fixed on a plain white backdrop. This creates an eye catching image on each page of the picture book, with just the text and the frog. The frog lies to his owner and says he is many different things from a secret agent to a disco dancer among many other things. The theme of this book is that you do not have to lie about who you are to be important.

The illustrations and the goofy text will keep the young reader interested. Feb 16, Storywraps rated it it was amazing. One morning the narrator finds a frog in his bathtub and adopts him as his pet. One does not know if the narrator is male or female and I like that a lot. He thinks the frog has multiple personalities tucked deep inside of him. The frog's behaviour is quite bizzare as he tries being a secret agent, a disco dancer, a professional boxer, a romantic singer, a celebrity chef, even a famous bodybuilder just to name a few.

Why is that the reader asks? Because in reality the frog is a dad and his kids love him dearly just as he is and for who he is They want him to come home because they miss their daddy greatly. The sweet, tender message of the story is that the kid's love their father no matter what he morphs into because underneath all those multiple personalities is very same heart, the heart of their beloved.

That is unconditional love at its finest! The illustrations are so crisp and clean, witty and humorous, which will engage readers of all ages into the story. Using colourful, large images on a white background makes the illustrations look almost 3D. They are very impressive indeed. The simple, short sentences are perfect for beginning readers.
